About us

ELORPrintTec is the technology platform for Printed Organic Electronics at Bordeaux University.

The ELORPrintTec aim is to invent the flexible and printable organic electronics of the next future, acting as excellence facility that provides advanced equipment and scientific expertise to both industries and academic researchers.

Its state-of-the-art instrumentation and its integration in a research ecosystem make it a perfect tool for the development of the next generation of electronics. The platform is built to give academic researchers and small companies access to state-of-the art semi-industrial equipment and let industrial players benefit from the latest academic know-how and innovations.

The platform consists of 850 m² cleanroom facility which contains a large assembly of processing and characterization equipment to enable the conception, understanding and fabrication of new materials as well as their integration into innovative device systems.

ELORPrintTec is housed by the University of Bordeaux but has its own independent status under its mother organization ADERA. The platform is managed by a consortium between the UBx, the Bordeaux INP, the CNRS and Arkema.

“Chemistry has provided me with the means to understand and transform matter, and do wonders. Chemistry is the basis of everything. Without chemistry, there is no medication, no food. And chemistry becomes even more powerful when it interfaces with physics and engineering. ELORPrintTec is a unique tool that enables us to go even further by exploring these frontiers in the emerging fields of science, technology and medicine.”
